Effective July 1, 2024, School Districts and Educational Services Districts are now bound by a duty of Good Faith and Fair Dealing in workers’ compensation matters. The new law carries unprecedented noncompliance penalties up to and including decertification of the self-insured employer.

Please join Brad Jones, PSWCT/UP Claims Attorney, and Tim Reeve, PSWCT/UP Claims Director, for this virtual townhall event. We will be discussing the new laws, the new requirements, and the new penalties. We will then open the floor to questions you may have about the law and what it may mean for your school district and its workers’ compensation program. The intended audience for this event is school district members of workers’ compensation trusts (WCT) of educational school districts (ESD), their principals, supervisors, ESDs, school districts across the state, and partners within the workers’ compensation self-insurance community.

We look forward to a great discussion with you and answering as many of your questions as we can about these new laws.

Speakers:

  • Brad Jones, PSWCT/UP Claims Attorney, Esq.
  • Tim Reeve, PSWCT/UP Claims Director, Esq.
