Identifying and properly managing risks at school districts maximizes their ability to make sound decisions to deliver the best possible outcomes in health and safety through reducing accidents and incidents, prevent harmful exposures and responsibly manage associated finances. One of the main roles of the PSWCTUP is prevention. We work with member school districts in providing a safe and healthy educational environment that supports the continuity of education and empowers schools to reach their main goal of high-quality education. Our Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) prevention team will provide an overview of risk management principles for schools, then will focus on the top 5 emerging safety trends in injuries and non-compliance, providing resources and guidance on how to mitigate these problems.
