Christian Porter and Ben Hollar, Return-to-Work Managers, will provide an overview of Return-to-Work best practices, Return-to-Work Incentive Program (RTWIP) including significant changes to our application process based on feedback from our Member Districts.
Speakers: Christian Porter BA, CA, is a Return-to-Work Manager at PSWCT/UP. He has a BA degree in Political Science and WA State Claims Administration Certification. Christian has five years of hands-on experience serving the employees of Washington State as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and a former Claims Adjuster. In his current role, Christian encourages implementation of best practices within the Washington State Return-to-Work Program and all aspects of Vocational Rehabilitation and retraining. Prior to joining PSESD in the Summer of 2022, Christian looked to increase his exposure to all workers compensation related matters and worked as a Certified Claims Adjuster for a renown Third Party Administrator.
Ben Hollar BA, CDMS, is a Return-to-Work Manager at PSWCT/UP. He has a BA degree in Social Sciences from Washington State University and is a Certified Disability Management Specialist. Ben has more than seven years of hands-on experience serving the employees of Washington State as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC). In Ben‘s prior role as a VRC, he provided disability management services to injured workers, advocating for them and their families through collaboration and coordination of services with health care providers and industry partners. In that role, he managed an independent caseload and developed rehabilitation plans, job opportunities, and placement for injured workers with a focus on their individual strengths and vocational challenges. In his current role as Return-to-Work Manager, Ben encourages implementation of best practices within the Washington State Return-to-Work Program and provides unparalleled support for our District Members’ return-to-work needs.
