COVID-19 Training Requirements for Employees

Training employees about coronavirus and how to prevent transmission is one of the key prevention elements that DOSH has identified in their recent coronavirus prevention directive.  Required training is addressed in DOSH Directive 1.70 “General Coronavirus Prevention Under Stay Safe – Stay Healthy Order Updated: July 7, 2021” which states “Employers are required to train employees regarding the hazards and symptoms of COVID-19, how to protect themselves, and the COVID-19 expectations in the workplace”.

In order to help our districts meet this training requirement, we are recommending the following training on the Vector Solutions (SafeSchools) training platform:

  • Coronavirus 101 – What You Need to Know (15 min). This interactive online course features critical information about how COVID-19 spreads, how to recognize its symptoms, how to prevent and treat the virus, and what to do if you become sick with the virus.
